Our Terms and Conditions

1. Booking and Payment

  • A non-refundable booking fee of 25% is required to secure your wedding date. This will be deducted from the total price.
  • The remaining balance is due no later than a week before the wedding date.
  • No services will be rendered without full payment.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

  • All cancellations must be made in writing.
  • If the client cancels more than 15 days before the event, only the booking fee is forfeited.
  • Cancellations made less than 15 days before the event will require full payment.
  • In the unlikely event the photographer is unable to attend, a replacement photographer will be provided or a full refund will be given.

3. Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, extreme weather, venue change) is subject to availability.
  • A rescheduling fee may apply.
  • If the new date is unavailable, the cancellation policy applies.

4. Travel and Accommodation

  • Travel within 50km is included. Travel beyond this is charged at a current R/KM applicable at that period.
  • If overnight stay is required, the client must provide or reimburse reasonable accommodation.

5. Coverage

  • Photographer and videographer will attend from 07:00 to 17:00, unless otherwise agreed.
  • The client acknowledges that the photographer will not be held liable for missed photos and footage during the event.
  • The photographer and videographer will make every reasonable effort to capture key moments but is not liable for events that cannot be photographed due to circumstances beyond control (e.g. late arrivals, poor lighting, weather).

6. Creative License

  • The photographer retains creative freedom in selecting and editing images.
  • Images will be delivered in the photographer’s chosen style.
  • No unedited RAW files will be provided.

7. Delivery

  • Edited photos will be delivered within 3 months of the wedding date, unless the editing work requires more attention.
  • Delivery will be made via online gallery, USB, and printed album provided it was requested.
  • Albums and prints are subject to extra charge and may have additional delivery times based on supplier turnaround.

8. Image Rights and Usage

  • The photographer retains full copyright of all images.
  • Clients are granted personal usage rights (printing, sharing with friends/family, social media).
  • The photographer may use selected images for portfolio, website, social media, or promotional use unless the client requests otherwise in writing.

9. Guest Photography

  • Guests are welcome to take photos, but the photographer will not be held responsible for missed shots due to guest interference.
  • The client agrees to ensure that no other professional photographer or videographer is contracted without prior approval.

10. Liability

  • The photographer is not responsible for any injuries, damages, or loss during the event.
  • Liability is limited to the amount paid for services.

11. Force Majeure

  • In the event of circumstances beyond control (natural disasters, acts of terrorism, pandemics, etc.), the photographer may cancel or reschedule services without liability.
  • Any monies paid (excluding the booking fee) will be refunded or credited toward a future booking.

12. Client Cooperation

  • The client agrees to provide a schedule, key contacts, and any essential details at least 15 days before the event.
  • The client is responsible for arranging access to venues and ensuring adequate time for portraits and group photos.

13. Model Release

  • The client grants the photographer permission to use their likeness in photographic form for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested in writing.
